Tree brachen - or something stuck to a birch tree on the Cabot Trail - also part of the drive/hike from last fall.
Or maybe it is a lichen. Apparently you can survive on them if you need to - but I'd rather eat roots than funky funghi.

Cabot Trail

A quick look at our Cabot trail video

Yes it has been a long time. I doubt if anyone passes this way but just incase here is an image of Teddy Tugboat from Halifax harbour. We were there last fall.

This X-mas we are going back to Montreal for some food and shopping - Mmmm shopping.

I'll shall endeavour to post once in a while more now that I have discovered where I left my poor, neglected bloggy-thingy.

What the pond will look like soon!

The lushness (lushocity) of the back yard will soon be in bloom. I have to find a cutting of a Cyperus (the plant in the corner) because we let the old one freeze to death last year.
The fish are getting huge and if they keep breeding we are going to have to sell some or abandon them in the Don River - NOT!
The Koi (Japanese Carp) is almost a foot and a half long so I have no idea how we will get him out if we ever need to short of putting on boots and trying to grab him/her manually.
And the trailer still isn't open. Maybe next weekend - since we dont' seem to be doing anything for mother's day....

Obviously not how to blog.

It's been so freakin' long since I posted I could have grown this mess back.

Thankfully I came to my senses a few years back regarding the long beards - that and the proper use of a fully filled Zippo lighter in the wind. Nuff said.

Now that spring is here (kind of) and the gas is 1.08 a litre it's time to open the trailer and see how the Hybrid Saturn does on the repeated Grand Valley runs. Still kind of weird in the city when the engine shuts down when you stop but we'll get used to it and at least there is one less SUV on the road belching fumes in stopped traffic.

Posting for the sake of posting.

Kind of had a hardware meltdown but I think things are under control.
I had this night-time flash shot of the boulders at Jeff's cottage beside the walkway outside the second floor of the boathouse and thought it might look spooky - like the ghost of my abandoned blog - Booooooooo.

Just melt a bit more.

The poor dog and I are both going a little crazy between cabin fever and basic insanity. This was LAST spring in High Park. It's still too wet for man or beast and as the beast is getting up in years he seems to prefer fair weather walks - me too actually.
Trailer season is a 7 mere weeks away - whooppee!
