Yep, lots of snow out in Lake Louise - but Montreal has a load too this year. Hopefully it won't be too freakin' hard for the old man to get around.

We are going to meet some artists from the gallery and have dinner. Should be nice. Maybe they will know of somewhere to get a decent bouillabaisse.

Two days to go before the train.

A Close-up of some man's balls.

Get your minds out of the gutter. This is an extreme close-up of a festive ball by glass-artist Paull Rodrigue. It is the only festive picture that doesn't have snow or some kind of usual X-mas freue-freue.

Less than a week now till the big HO! and Christmas too.

Still have a lot to do but at least the pressure to do the family thing is over and only have to deal with each other and friends in the upcoming times.

Enjoy examining my ball while I go out and blow - some snow that is.

The lilac in winter.

No snow here. Can't wait though, now that the snowblower is all ready to go and not held together with twist ties and chewing gum like last year because I was too freaking lazy to get it fixed right.
So today we drove out to my sisters place and met up with old friends from 30 years ago. We all went to school for a bunch of years then moved apart. Then when my sister's kid started grade 6 he met a girl who turned out to be the daughter of this particular friend and the older son is dating the kids sister so - really cozy - talk about six degrees or what?
Anyway it was a nice blast from the past to see someone from the past in the now, now that we are all grown up - well at least grown older in my case.

This red-tailed hawk was in the tree in my backyard this spring.

He/she is probably all growed up by now but I stumbled across the image and thought I'd plop it here.

I don't follow blogs?

Apparently, I'm not following any blogs. At least that is what the helpful screen said when I logged in today. You would think it would be happy that I'm visiting again considering my past with the whole blog thing.

Quite the contrary, I follow a few blogs - mostly by lurking off other blogites. I guess I could put a list of those I read but that would take asking and who has time for that familiarity.
Apparently I had a facebook account... I vaguely recall starting one but go lost in the set-up and left it hanging. My sister, a f-booker, saw I was on and took a look and noticed that I had NO facebook friends. How sad.

So here is yet another picture from Montreal - not sure what building he was stuck to but there are a whole bunch - I'm going to try a covered in snow series while there - might have to post some images when I get back - that is if I remember the blog awaits.

Minor changes - hopefully I haven't screwed it up

Only two weeks until Montreal for Christmas - or Noel.
I know, there isn't enough cold and snow here you have to go to Montreal?? Yes, good food, cute men, lots of shopping, good food, lots of shopping - did I mention the shopping?
Tragic that at this age the cute men quotient if so low but who knows a miracle might just happen.
